I'm not sure if this is allowed, but it probably is.
If not, my apologies...
A chance to go on the record before the game tips off.

Rutgers is favored by 2.5, hosting Penn State. Over is 157.5.

Penn State 88 Rutgers 77

Hopefully you only made those bets theoretically. Rutgers covered and the game hit the under!

Ouch. Transitive property funkiness. Didn't think Butler would lose at home to NDSU.

Weird game. Butler was down 23 in the 2nd half, came all the way back to take a 5-point lead inside of 4 minutes left, then NDSU finished the game on a 9-1 run to win by 3.

Michigan-Arkansas was wild too. Michigan was up 15 in the first half, Arkansas came roaring back to go up by 18 in the 2nd half, then almost blew it and held on to win by 2.

I watched it in the arena. NDSU had no one contributing outside their top two players (A 2 and a 5). Butler adjusted and greatly took them out of the game. Then, back from 23 down, up by 5, they had 2 brain farts and left the 5 alone at the top of the key on consecutive plays. He hit two 3 pointers in a row.

I've now watched Butler live 3 times this year. They lost to Austin Peay and NDSU in 2 of them.

Providence-DePaul was another wild one, both teams were up by 10 in the first half, then DePaul was up 8 with 3 and a half to go before giving up a 10-2 run to go to OT where they lost. They haven't won a Big East game in 2 years and haven't won their conference opener in 10 years.

Seemed like Michigan turned the ball over a bunch at the end of that game. B1G teams need to win these out of conference games. It looks like our loss to Butler might turn bad on us.

The SEC has established a 4 point advantage over the Big Ten and Big 12, which are about 3 points ahead of the Big East and 4 points ahead of the ACC. Roughly speaking.

Gives the SEC a big advantage at NCAA selection time.

Man, the XII was the strongest P5 conference per kenpom last 3 seasons, and now they've dropped off the pace from the mighty SEC. Aie the ACC!

DePaul will win some Big East games this season.

Torvik enables you to do things like comparing conferences by "record against the Top 100", adjusted for venue.

SEC 42-18
B10 37-42
Big East 20-22
Big 12 21-34
West Coast 14-23
ACC 21-57

The SEC/ACC challenge went 14-2 for the SEC.
The Big 12 went 6-5 against the Big East in their series.

I think it is safe to say the SEC is significantly out-spending everybody else.
