And only the Iowa game (decided on a 53-yard field goal on the last play of the game) away from being in first. An absolutely miraculous job by Braun, the staff and the players to completely turn around the state of the program.

Braun has plenty of work to do to keep the momentum going because we lost so many transfers and decommits as a result of Fitz's firing. Consequently, our roster is low on numbers, so we really need many of the seniors with eligibility to return next year and Braun to have success in the portal to rebuild our depth.

What’s really impressive is how the team, especially the defense, improved from game 1 vs. Rutgers until now. I’d imagine the outcome against Rutgers would be different if we played them now. The trajectory of the program is pointed up, completely unexpected after the disaster that struck the program in July.
