Happ's votes will be split with Nigel Hayes. Tremble's team was predicted to be between in the no. 5-9 range in the Big 10 and led them to a 20-3 record and won 6-7 close games by hitting game winning shots. UW returned 99 percent of the scoring on a sweet 16 team. Swanigan's double doubles is at a historic clips. But if you want to focus on Happ beating up Rutgers and Illinois, that's your choice but Swanigan has put up a more impressive season with more pressure on carrying the team than Happ on UW.

No, wrong again. Swanigan went for 26 points and 10 rebounds on the road against the Big 10's first place team in Maryland. Swanigan outplayed Trimble who is his main competition for Big POY. Haas scored 10 points and 4 rebs and was largely neutralized by a backup center on Maryland named Cherkovsky. This means that he can plant himself in the middle v. 6'8"-6'9", 230 lbs. Pardon because he is 7'2", 300 lbs. But against similar sized guys like 7'0" tall Cherkovsky he struggles.

Great. Draft day should be interesting for us.

As usual, you are off base. Haas is a junior and Collins recruited him hard and lost out to PU. All indications are that he stays for his senior season. Swanigan is a top 5 national player of the year candidate. Haas is nowhere near that level.

Whether he gets drafted this year or next, he will get drafted. We can see how the two compare in draft slot. Of course, a career of NBA stats will be interesting too. My recurring point is that I like Haas over Swanigan - I would draft Haas before Swanigan. So, time will eventually answer this disagreement - nothing that you do or say will change or stop that simple fact.

Bob, admit it, you barely even watched the Purdue game, your attention was elsewhere most of the game. The basketball game was just a distraction on your date with Lara. Haas is a stiff who won't last more than 2 or 3 years in the NBA. Evan Eschmeyer was much better than Haas. Swanigan has a brighter NBA future.

But if Haas stays then obviously Swanigan will be drafted "ahead" of Haas, no matter what else happens..

Haas is a poster waiting to happen. Just a question of who will be raining the dunks down on him.

I was most definitely distracted with Lara...But I still like Haas....and Lara...

I know your posts are not founded in reason or reality but here is a recent mock draft by Mr. Gary Parrish of Cbssports.com. See No. 30 in the first round, Caleb Swanigan. Haas is nowhere to be found. Another brick on the wall of your lack of basketball analytical skills.

Hey genius, weren't you the one to just point out the Haas is a junior with no expectation to leave early? I understand you are a dimwit and all, but you just posted that part...

And relax, proof will be in the pudding. Might take two drafts to compare, but I can wait. I have been around here for more than two years.

And what a glowing report:

Caleb Swanigan, PF, Purdue
Swanigan isn't in most projected first rounds. But his production for a winning team in a power conference has to be taken seriously. He makes 20-20 games look normal. Does he have limitations? Yes. But a 6-9 monster who can also shoot jumpers is deserving of a serious look.

And what would the report on Haas look like? Let's give it a shot.

Isaac Haas, C, Purdue
Haas is a 7-2 stiff who has "posterize me please" written all over him. But his production as backup to NBA rookie star Caleb Swanigan and occasional twin tower decoy during his junior year deserves to be considered, even though his senior season without Swanigan is underwhelming. He makes 9 point games with 5 rebounds look normal. But a 7-2 wide body that looks good in mop up time for some struggling NBA team is deserving of a serious look.
