That, and Tennessee fans look like the offspring of Mama June and Bob’s Big Boy.Loyola has got a lot of my cash with two graduates and a current student, so I am thrilled. However, it seems extra special to send those arrogant Rocky Top crooner’s home.

Now this clown that is actually in the Knoxville media is on Twitter with a F*$k Sister Jean tweet. SMH, worse fan base around and that is saying something.
Way to go Ramblers!
When I was at NU a lot of time was spend at the college dives around Loyola. Never had a bad experience, even met a few fine ladies.
There was also some kind of exchange program between the Northwestern and Loyola radio tv departments. There was often a Loyola kid in our NU class and I know several NU guys who took the El down for a class or two at LU. And they had a great college radio station at Water Tower downtown - 88.7 Hitline!
I have always rooted for that program and am delighted about their run.
Go Ramblers Go! Go Sister Jean!
I remember listening to Red Rush (?) call the Ramblers games in the 60's. He had a nickname for every player and unless you knew the kids you would have been in the dark.
Ajax to Corky ,backdoor to the Cisco Kid-it's in and that's "swella like a loaf of Gonella"
I was there also and still hate that dam song. Thanks Ramblers!I remember that '97' Citrus Bowl and listening to that damn Rocky Top way toooo many times.......so a little gift from the Ramblersssssss
"Ajax" Tillman as I recall "Corky ding dong" Bell"He's Ajax 'cuz he cleans the boards."
And after a shot rimming out: "In-again, out-again Finnegan!"
Yep, that was Red Rush.
I was there also, and felt like I was in the middle of the cast of Deliverance! My wife and I moved to another section, but we couldn't find poor Ned Beatty. The Vol fans at that game were the dirtiest crudest people I've ever seen at a football game. Interesting game though. Tennessee scored the first 21 behind Manning and we scored the next 21 behind Darnell.I was there also and still hate that dam song. Thanks Ramblers!

That was one of the cleanest, highest level, most entertaining games I've seen in years. Both of those teams should be proud. And if Loyola were in a bigger conference, they'd have been a top 20 team and a top 4 seed, not that it matters at this point. Excellent defense, precise passing, great movement without the ball, and highly efficient shot selection. Townes, Custer, and Richardson are all excellent, making up for relatively quiet games from Ingram and Krutwig.
That team's just plain good.
