Highlighting the Massey ratings because Sagarin isn't updated...

Iowa is 1-1, this is incorrect.

They’re still ranked that highly? Even with the worst offense in D1 football?

If we played them next week, I’d love our chances.
Its actually curious to me. When I was initially looking thru Massey's numbers it was the only thing that seemed wrong. Iowa has only played Iowa State and South Dakota State, losing 10-7 to ISU and beating SD State 7-3. Iowa State had otherwise beaten SE Missouri State 42-10. South Dakota State beat UCal-Davis 24-22, so there really is no evidence to suggest Iowa is any good. Somehow Massey has Iowa State ranked #6.

I usually use Jeff Sagarin's ratings because they are very straightforward and therefore "clean." They weren't ready when I originally posted the table. But his numbers are now up to date... Sagarin has Iowa State ranked #34 and Iowa ranked #45.

If I can add the Sagarin numbers to the table, I will.

Yikes. Top 4 teams in the East. Hard to argue with it though - the West looks like it might be a wasteland this year.

For the most part, these rankings are accurate except flip the top 2. Anyone that watches - and understands CF - realizes that the Big Blue of Michigan is in a class by itself. My God, did you see what they've done in their first two games? On to the Playoffs this year when they claim the NC. Jim has this thing ROLLING. Go Blue

when I was in grade school there was a kid who was "in a class by himself..."

I'm going to assume you don't think Michigan belongs in a "Special Needs" class.

I will concede this - I root for Michigan once a year.
