I mean literally, because from a football standpoint, NU has the rights to the Shillelagh and has had them for the past 23 years and needs no recovery from that standpoint.

Lost: Shillelagh. Untold historical and sentimental value.

Description: One of a kind blackthorn shillelagh walking stick, 36" long, with a plan silver band at the bottom and a silver presentation band around the upper portion, inscribed, "Notre Dame-Northwestern Football Trophy, Presented by William T. Cosgrove, President of the Irish Free State 1931." The band is decorated in a Shamrock pattern and bears a silver hallmark. In fine condition, with some chips and cracks to the original finish, and tarnishing to silver bands.

Rightful owners: for the past 23 years, Northwestern University Wildcats

Last seen: 2016 Auction, RR Auction of Amherst NH

Cash Reward of undisclosed sum offered to any one who can provide information to the whereabouts of this stolen relic or anything else leading to it's recovery. Time is essential, as it is hoped that the item can be recovered in time for Northwestern's historic win over the Irish on Saturday Nov 3.

Lifelong ND fan live in Omaha, what crazy story excited for good game this weekend!

Is your name Joe Hoovestol? If so, I have some important instructions for you. Don't ask why, just do it, if you value your life.

If you suddenly get a whiff of Old Spice in the air, drop everything that you may have, leave your house, and run. Don't look back, don't try to see what is happening. And do not try to take anything with you, especially the item that this man is looking for. Nothing is worth making the mistake of failing to heed this well intended advice.

Lol,no I'm not the holder of the trophy.do agree that's it's a shame if it's not at game sat and the winner takes in home .
