I was in school in that era too, very vaguely remember him (I was/am a few years older). I just remember him being very friendly a real hustler, worked extra hard at WNUR, didn't just go through the motions, really put in the work (I don't think any of us knew who his dad was, I mean the surname Brown isn't unique, but you know what, good on him for that). I often am out and about at night doing some things and would always listen to the Knicks when he/they-theteam was on. Good pipes and energy and just a nice guy as I recall.

Of course none of that is significant now. Prayers to his family. Way too soon.

I did not know him very well, just well enough to say hello on campus. He seemed like a very nice guy. May his memory be for a blessing.
RIP. It is people like Brendan Brown who gave Medill the reputation that it has.

He worked hard, got his dream job, and had quite the career based on this article.

His father, Hubie Brown, is a basketball legend in his own right. It is nice to see that Hubie taught his son about true work ethic.

Condolences to his friends and family.
