Both got taken down by a single pursuer. Change directions and get the pursuer to stumble a bitAt Key skill positions. If Kirtz and Tyus could have gone to the house that's eight more points and it would have been a tie game
Tyus had no chance to house that one, any of the other DBs would have run him down. Kirtz, too bad he didn’t have half a step more or that’s at TD.Both got taken down by a single pursuer. Change directions and get the pursuer to stumble a bit
There is absolutely no issue with this team’s speed. It is average and is a non issue in the outcome of the games. At Key skill positions. If Kirtz and Tyus could have gone to the house that's eight more points and it would have been a tie game

Ok. What does that have to do with team speed? We have some fast guys, a lot of average guys and some slow guys for their position. Just like most teams. Speed isn’t the problem.Tyus is slow downfield for a RB for a fact. Kirtz is fine. Good athlete.

Henning is a maybe? We have MAAYYBBBEEEEE one fast guy on offense.
Like I said, this team is no different than most past NU Teams. Guys like Himon, Henning, Kirtz, Gordon, SaKa, etc. have good speed for their positions most other guys we have are average with some below average. Lack of speed is not the reason we aren’t winning games.Sorry your opinion is wrong.

Yes it does. It’s all relative. Not relative to Georgia but certainly relative to most of the teams we play on our schedule.…which does not mean we actually have decent team speed.

We had a run of good QB’s.“We used to win with mostly slow guys, why can’t we still win with mostly slow guys?”
I never said we had mostly slow guys but thanks for trying.“We used to win with mostly slow guys, why can’t we still win with mostly slow guys?”

We aren't even looking so- so right now. We likely could end up 4-8, or even God help us 3-9 if by some way we find a way to lose to Purdue. Our defense is decent enough to keep us in most games. The offense is just plain lousyResponding to the earlier comment. Relative to team speed, IMO it seems like we are good at DB, sort of slow at LB, slow on the DL, unskilled on the OL, adequate at receivers, unskilled at TE, mixed at RB and slow at QB. Kind of a mixed bag. Like most so-so teams.
We could have the Carl Lewis and Usain Bolt and it wouldn’t matter because weResponding to the earlier comment. I am not so sure we are unskilled at TE. If you look at those guys, pretty much every one has got worst ( at least statistically) since they first stepped on the field. Gordon has showed skill and Albright has all but disappeared. The OL is so bad, they keep Charlie in there because he blocks better. It’s a jail break even with Charlie so they might want to try something else.Responding to the earlier comment. Curious as to why we abandoned adding a 6th OL in place of a TE in obvious running situations. That’s been a mainstay in our gameplan over the last few years. Why not play Franks or Knox in that role?
Right, considering tight ends get targeted 1-2 times a game. I guess the tight ends are in there for the surprise factor. Based on teams bringing half the house every play I don't think they care if the tight ends run free.
Sorry but we tend to end up on the short end in speed compared to many teams we playOk. What does that have to do with team speed? We have some fast guys, a lot of average guys and some slow guys for their position. Just like most teams. Speed isn’t the problem.
I would say a couple. Hinmon but he is basically down the depth chart, Henning but he has been dinged up. Kitz at one point but gets dinged up as well. Whole lot less than our opponentsWe have MAAYYBBBEEEEE one fast guy on offense.

Maybe with those to they might be able to get separation quick enough for our QB to not be picking himself up after being sackedWe could have the Carl Lewis and Usain Bolt and it wouldn’t matter because we
Can’t block anybody. The oline is just beyond abysmal.
