Takes him a long time to figure that something isn't/hasn't been working and changes things up.
Its not an option if everyone knows the QB is going to pitch it. Thor needs to take it occasionally and go into the line, and do a better job of camoflaging the pitch by holding it until the last minute. in the mean time, take it out of the playbook, everyone has seen how to defend it
I've always figured McCall must know something everyone else doesn't with regards to "players, formations, plays" and that's why Fitz has kept him around. But my god, it has maybe worked once this season and this game was a disaster and if he keeps trying it I'm calling for him to be fired no matter how well we're doing.
He ran it to set up his trick play with kidd off of the option. As it turned out, the play was well covered and incomplete. You didnt see the option afterwards.
I recall him using it at least three times, though it looked like maybe Thorson kept it a couple times? It was definitely more than once.
Keep working on the option in practice, working on ALL of the options available . Thorson needs serious work on it. Just don't pull it out and run it to death in a game yet. Oh, and work on a pass play for Thorson/ZO/MA off the option rather than running the pitch to the RB.
