Obviously opinions may be biased on the outcome of the OT, but what did you all think at the time when we went for the tie at the end of regulation? I was a bit disappointed for the following reasons:
- we were red hot after scoring 3 TDs and had all the monentum
- they couldn’t really stop us at that point
- didn’t really want to put their O back on the field
- May have to rely on our FG kicker in OT
- I know home teams usually favor taking it to OT but there was certainly no home field noise advantage, loud end zone to choose etc. and we are not a deep team so going far into OT was a gamble
Braun must have just had great confidence in both sides of the ball red zone offense and defense, as well as confidence that Fleck would not take the chances needed to win the game! Sure enough he outcoached Fleck last night. I had never seen Fleck look like he did when Minny MADE the FG in 1OT, he looked like he knew he lost the game already.
