The three-star DT from nearby New Trier took the 10-minute drive to NU on Sunday. He’s been to countless games over the years and a camp, but this was his first real visit. He was blown away by the new facility.
NU is looking for one more DT after Jason Gold committed on Friday, but Olges doesn’t appear to be feeling any urgency. He wants to visit Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan State (again) after baseball season is over, and he is considering visits to UVa and Duke (again) too. Stanford and Notre Dame came through New Trier this month too, so he’s waiting to see how things unfold there. He’s shooting for a late June or early July decision and he is fully aware that he could lose his scholarship to NU. But his priority is to take the time to make a good decision.
