The journey with Coach Collins leading the way that culminated in Northwestern's first NCAA Tournament bid has been almost a four year effort.

Throughout that same period of time Dr. Phillips, President Schapiro, Pat Ryan and their families were part of the "winning team" as well. The stability afforded to the Northwestern Mens' Basketball program through their combined support was in no small measure an important factor in reaching the NCAA Tournament goal.

Thanks for being an instrumental part in the reaching/pounding of the milestone/rock!

It was certainly fitting that each were able to join again together at Welsh-Ryan Arena for Northwestern's "First Annual NCAA Tournament Watch Party," to paraphrase the welcoming words from Dave Eanet.

Pictured, the above "team members" as gathered together at the beginning of the 2013-2014 season as that multi-year effort was taking off:

Cool stat. Although winning the Big 10 and going to the Rose Bowl with zero administration support is 10x harder than making the field of 68 IMHO.....

Is this really the time to be comparing? How about we just enjoy the ride and look forward to bigger and better things from both of our flag ship programs?

Go Cats!

Let's not forget a pretty timely moose sighting just before the Michigan game I think it was.
How do things look on the moose front as we approach the Tourney?

As I was returning home Sunday we encountered a Cow Moose and her calf. Didn't have my iPhone with me so one will have to have belief without evidence. (As I reflect back on it the sighting was just about at the exact moment Northwestern's name was being called out on CBS. Moments later, once I got in the door, I was able to rewind and catch the historic moment as it was being broadcast by the camera crew there in Welsh-Ryan Arena.)
