What a joy watching that game last night- as many have been this year. A lot of takeaways from that game, but that main thing I came away thinking afterwards was "That's what good teams do". For more years than I can remember, as we have been perpetually in "on the verge of breaking through" mode, we can compete for about 35-38 minutes, but then our opponent flexes their muscle and pulls it out because they are the better team. That's what the Cats did last night. Nebraska battled, knowing that this was a huge game to try and get their season back on track, but at the end of the day, we were just the better team. And when it came time to win the game, we were the team that flexed our muscle. Because we are the better team. It's a weird feeling, but I've decided that I like being the better team.

Let's keep it going Sunday.

I thought both teams played excellent defense the entire game. Both teams have athletic length that was up in the air on close in shots, altering and blocking many, many shots. Nebraska shut down NU's weapons and interrupted NU's flow. Really an excellent coaching job by Miles.

This NU squad is incredibly resilient. Missed shots and bad plays don't matter. Losing a lead or being down is a non event, emotionally. They bring it on D all forty minutes.

Eventually that resilience caused Nebraska to miss a few they should have made. That, and the fact that Dererk Pardon is a bad ass.

He's every bit of that. Love to see it - and it's only gonna get better.
