Here are 3 things we learned, 2 questions we're asking and 1 prediction about the future as NU gets ready for Purdue.

Even I think that article is too harsh.

Here's one - "Both of Akers' kicks the last two weeks have not been close. Braun repeatedly sending him out there to kick a field goal that he cannot make is both poor coaching and not fair to the player."

I guarantee you Akers CAN make that kick. Braun has seen Akers kick and is not an idiot. So to claim Akers "cannot make" a 50 yard FG is factually wrong AND awfully negative toward Braun.

Here's another - "It's hard to capture just how bad Lujan's offense has been, and it's hard to imagine him reprising his role as offensive coordinator next year."

It is not hard to imagine Lujan being retained. For me, as Fitz did with JON, you give the guy the 2nd season - either that or publicly declare "I'm a moron for hiring so-an-so, He sucks and therefore I suck and I resign."

Lastly - "What was feared after the heavily-criticized quarterback sweep catastrophe on third-and-goal against Duke has become more evident every week: Lujan can't coach at this level."

I'm not willing to say that.
