and very difficult for me to understand. Truth be told, I gave up on this season a long time ago as it was clear that for whatever reason, this team just didn't have it. But it would be nice to see this group of Seniors go out with their heads held high. Maybe they still can based on last year's accomplishments. But, as Jeff Dickerson said on ESPN Radio this week, they are certainly the biggest disappointment in the B1G, if not the entire NCAA, this season.

I really hope the new stadium next season and new talent coming in somehow come together to allow a "reset" of the program. Whatever this season is, the negative momentum and energy needs to end once the last game has ended. Those returning next season need to hit the reset button, get determined to make a difference, and find that edge and hunger again. If you must, watch Rocky III on a daily basis and develop that "eye of the tiger". This lack of intensity and determination needs to be buried with the soon-to-be quickly forgotten ashes of this broken, crash-and-burn season. That deer in the headlights look, or mind somewhere else expression that shows up on some of our player's faces this season tells me everything I need to know about why this team is underachieving. They don't believe, and they appear to have "accepted it". Expect and demand more of yourselves and your teammates!

Minnesota was predicted to be a top 15-16 team and are 3-11 in the Big 10 (12th in the Big 10), 14-13 overall with a RPI of 131. That team is the biggest disappointment in the Big 10. Jeff Dickerson did not do his homework as most sports radio guys do not.

McIntosh and Law did not show up and they need all three (McIntosh, Lindsey and Law) to step up big in big games particularly on the road.

A disappointment, yes, but I think they were overrated to start with. Biggest disappointment? Well, there is Minnesota, who started like a house afire and then imploded when their senior center got derailed by a rape charge. Whatever...The Cats raised expectations last year but this squad is paper thin and they are not sneaking up on anybody this year. Did you notice the depth on that Maryland team that LOST TWO STARTERS to injury this year? It will take time for NU to match that kind of firepower.

Minnesota was hit hard by a series unfortunate circumstances early in BIG play and has not been able to recover. Their collapse is a bit more understandable than the troubles NU has experienced in 2017-18, at least based on outside expectations.

FWIW, Jeff Dickerson is a well respected sportscaster. Your comment regarding him "not doing his homework" is unwarranted. Believe it or not, it's okay to support the program without trashing anyone who has a differing opinion.

Maryland actually only played 7, so they weren't that deep, which is why they tend to get exploited by deeper teams, particularly on the road. We're not a deep team, so we can't exploit that.
