I don't think it is hyperbole, but I have to believe the next two weeks are the season in a nutshell. In many ways, Michigan and Iowa are both critical to this season, the conversation about Northwestern in the media and to extract some revenge over the demons each team has presented in the past two years.

We may need to play a near perfect game on Saturday. I haven't watched Michigan that closely and their win over Maryland doesnt excite me much. I think Maryland is as bad as Purdue and the two worst teams in the conference. BYU isn't nearly as good as their two miracle victories showed.

On paper, Michigan has the most stars, the most high level recruits we have faced or may face this year.

As a Cat fan we are always worried. As we said against Stanford, this game will be won in the trenches. If we can be a little better on the o-line and d-line I think we win. I think the O-line cant play even against Michigan...Thorson would have to play a perfect game if the O-Line is only average. I can;t expect that out of a Freshman.

It's an out of division game this weekend, but a win puts us in the drivers seat for Indianapolis, if for no other reason than the confidence we will have going into homecoming against Iowa.
