NU has had a cupcake schedule. Struggled against a piss poor Stanford team and then went to to grind out wins vs nobody's.

Michigan will load the box with their 2nd ranked defense and dare NU to throw as they are ranked dead last in Big 10 in passing.

UM 31 NU 13

Hahahaha. ^This Guy

If you take the names off the jerseys and look at the body of work only Utah (the tam who beat up on the Wolverines) has done better than Northwesterm at this point in the season. Not only did Northwesterm give Standford their only loss that did in dominating fashion. The same Stanford who has not lost a game since and beat USC.

The road win at Duke is also impressive as that is that is the only game Duke has lost. Duke has beat GT and got a W at BC.

Maybe this a piss poor attempt at satire.

Pretty funny stuff. Surprised so many missed the sarcasm. Thanks for the compliments.

Michigan still uses the term "Hail" for just about everything, even though that particular term went out of style in the US right around 1941. Therefore, Northwestern 21, Michigan 7.

It really pisses me off when people make a plural by using a possessive apostrophe. The correct form of the word should be "nobodies". Please try to improve your basic grammatical skills before posting again.
This guy is mad

Lost by 7 on the road to a top 10 team. Shut out high flying BYU.

16 - 6 win over Stanford is dominating? LOL NU is good at FG's is what I take out of that game

Some basic facts. This guy is a colossal moron. This idiot is a troll who simply cannot stop being the obnoxious twit that he is.
Now to some real facts. Let's see Oregon State sucks, BYU is totally overrated and Maryland is a train wreck. The only quality team that Michigan played beat them. Hmmmm so how good is Michigan, we shall see this Saturday.

How exactly do you see the skunk-bear offense getting 31 points, Bubba? They couldn't do it against Maryland. Bowling Green did.

Oh, and you said Michigan has the 2nd ranked defense, which means they'll have the 2nd best defense on the field on Saturday.

Only reason why Stanford isn't a top 10 team, heck a top 5 team is due to the loss to the 'Cats - duh!!

Also, would not be at all surprised if the Tree ends up winning the Pac12.

Utah, otoh, could very well lose to USC and/or UCLA and not even make it to the PAC title game.

I love it that you have predicted a palindromic final score, Bubba. Unfortunately, the rest of your post demonstrates the convergence of illogic, incomprehensibility, and grammatical sloppiness.

The Wildcats passing stats reflect having the stingiest points-per-game defense in the country, along with the #1 rushing attack in the Big Ten. The aphorism attributable to Woody Hayes and/or Darrell Royal, “three things can happen when you throw the football and two of them are bad”, is probably front of mind for coaches Fitz and McCall. When we need to chuck it up to win, we will. Until then, it’s “run, Wildcats, run like the wind."

Starts with your post and will conclude in a Wolverine defeat. One that you will undoubtedly blame on officiating, weather, injuries or some other excuse.

The key word there is the word LOST as in you LOST to the only game you played against a team that is currently ranked (who, btw, doesn't have any wins against any other ranked teams). We don't count a 7 point loss as some kind of "moral" victory. It is a loss. The teams you actually have beaten have a combined record of 9-7 against other opponents while the teams we have beaten have a combined record of 13-3 against other opponents. The two Power 5 teams have a combined 4-3 record against other opponents. While the three Power 5 teams that we beat have a combined 11-1 record. And what's so good about BYU? You mean the last minute win against Nebraska? Even Illinois can done that. So it will be nice to see what a second rank defense looks like as we can see how far down you guys are from our defense. And,at least now your fans will get to see a real team.

Care to put your money where your mouth is? Give me NU +10. You can have Michigan -10. Name your price

Frabjous- Your grammar is improper. It's "You're retarded". You are retarded. As an aside, that's now considered politically incorrect.

Obviously the original poster was trying to flame and get everyone riled up. (He succeeded. A better tactic is to completely ignore troll posts so that they don't end up at the top of the message board and quickly sink to the bottom and disappear on to the next page).

While I disagree with everything he says, I agree with the strategy he espouses. Load up against the run and cheat against the run. Make NU throw to win.

You beat me to it. My favorite is your a idiot. Ugh, public education

Folks love to call me a troll, but everything I've posted her has been fact. Michigan will load the LOS and dare NU to throw against our secondary.

NU passing attack is sub-par and UM will pressure him into TO's. There is a reason Vegas has UM a 10+ point favorite. NU best win was a 16-6 snooze fest over an overrated Stanford team.

Okay, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt about not being a troll. But coming on the NU board and telling us that Michigan is going to win because of such and so that may even have some validity, is not a way to gain favor here. However, if Michigan were clearly the better team, we might even buy it. I have been skeptical about this year's NU team, and I have watched every game with the feeling that, oh-oh, we're going to fold. But what has happened every game (except for Ball State, and there is ONE reason why not that game which I'm not going to reveal to you if you don't already know what it is, is that little by little, we overwhelm the opposing team defensively. I don't care how good Michigan's defense is, because they may shut down our offense, our defense will do the same to your offense. It will develop slowly. You will think that Michigan is going to run all over us in the first quarter, but slowly that will change and they will begin doing nothing, and then going backwards. Then the turnovers will begin. You think Michigan's offense is better than Duke's and Stanford's? Don't count on it. Our defense will win this game, but in the process, give our offense enough of a bump to overcome your defense. Do I have proof of this? No, but just wait and then watch. By Saturday at 6pm you will be a believer. This will be a game of attrition, and it will be in NU's favor. Likely very low scoring, unless we really wear down Michigan like we did Minnesota. Two very evenly matched teams, all things considered.

One question for "Bubba". Did you graduate from UM or even attend?

Michigan's defense is allowing 184 yds per game...better than NU's numbers. As for scoring defense, Michigan is number 2 behind NU...however UM gave up a pick 6 to Utah which counts against the Defense. Take that away and UM is number 1...
Stats aside, I expect a good game. NU's win over Stanford is the biggest win without question. UM is not the same team NU is used to playing the last 10+ years...much better coached and fundamental than in previous years. Special teams are outstanding.
Should be a fun day. Good luck.

I love the points on turnovers don't count argument. Of the points the Cats have given up this year, two touchdowns and a field goal came off of turnovers (very short field) so I guess they should not count either.

Over the year, Michigan has given up six long drives (more than 50 yards) and yielded 4 touchdowns and one field goal off of them. The Cats have given up five, yielding one touchdown and two field goals from them. There are a lot of ways to look at the stats.

LOL

A FG plagued 16-6 snore fest was a bigger win than UM losing by 7 to a top 5 team?

LOL, now Utah is a Top 5 team, By Saturday Utah will be the Number 1 team in the country. What ranked team did they beat? Oh yes, Michigan. Well after Saturday they will have beaten no ranked teams.

Now you sound like the Minny fans who lost to TCU. You lost the game. That is the only statistic that counts. Don't claim a moral victory.

It's interesting that he's ignoring the question about whether he graduated from UM. I guess he's being honest in his silence, at least...
