that there is no one from Ohio. Has this ever happened, at least in the last 50 years, 13 commits and no one from Ohio?
 
More than normal from Illinois and even Texas? right? So something has to give.

Numbers are down in Ohio this year. Fewer fits in a smaller pool. With opportunities elsewhere to fill our needs. Had Illinois not been so good to us, you might see a couple of Buckeye commits. Opportunities will continue to be there. Meyer showing no preference for home grown recruits, and leaving more and more better prospects for others. BTW ... this year's NFL draft will likely have 3 first rounders that are Ohio HS products Meyer passed on.
