I’ve been pretty disappointed with our tight and play this season. A young, scrambling QB like Laush should utilizing his tight ends for easy completions. I watch a lot of football, both on Saturdays and Sundays, one thing I see consistently in all games is the tight play where they feign a block by engaging with a DL, get caught up in the wash a bit and then drift out into an open space, I don’t think I ever see that play run by Lujan. It seems like such a logical call to help out our young QB. And don’t get me started on our TE blocking; missed assignments, poor leverage, holding calls, etc. Gordon seems to be the most egregious. I’d really like to see Ogles in there more on the short yardage. I need to go back and check Lujan’s record at SDSU to see how much he incorporated the tight end into his offense there.
