1) NU does not have the playmakers to compete in the B1G. Although does have several very good ones.

2) Offensive neglect for many, many years.

Both of these trace back to Fitz unfortunately. I'm not convinced the current problem is coaching, although one or two changes may be needed.

While I agree these are two big factors within the program right now, today’s loss is worse than these two factors. There is no mitigating factor with the defense, they can’t blame the offense for them rolling over and dying on both sides of halftime. Michigan is not a good offense.

There were also more bad game management errors and bizarre timeouts by Braun.

We have some playmakers. That’s false. Kirtz and Henning could play for most. Same with Porter (when he’s actually healthy). Our problem is our OL is super banged up (and bad) and our QB is an idiot. If we have a Ramsey at QB (not as good as Bryant) we are likely bowling.

You are correct Baz, the thing is that football is the ultimate team sport. You need all the units to actually do their job in order to be successful. Not sure Kirtz and Henning are playmakers, since they are not in position to be playmakers with how this team is playing.
