Collins said at least twice that he was happy the players were getting paid (not a quote), and that he wasn't happy with the wild west conditions currently in play. The lack of transparency, the lack of structure, and the uncertainties of what's allowed were all mentioned iirc.

He seemed to think that part of the future for NIL will be putting the payments in the hands of the schools, with better transparency and accountability, and he opined that setup would be better for NU (and for the players) than trying to compete in the grey spaces against schools with 100k seat football stadiums and the back room money their fan bases can put on the table (again not a quote). At least, that's what I heard him talking about.
