Games Tuesday and Thursday after a draining Saturday game. IUPUI is no gimme, having lost @Michigan by 12 and @Illinois by 8, and HBU will then be coming in rested having not played since yesterday. Cats should win both, but these are not going to be easy games.

Agreed. Oooey--pooey in particular worries me; we play badly, and it will not be like CSU where we can eek out a win just because CSU is,well, CSU.

By the way- has anybody heard if Pardon is getting well? When might he come back to the lineup? I saw him on the bench several times last night and it looked like he's got a longer cast on than would indicate just a broken finger. When and if he comes back, I am anticipating that it will be like a B12 shot for the whole team.

Lots of LU connections at IUPUI.. Gardner was an assistant for LU . Oleary played two years at LU and Combs was a commit and de-committed. Also they had a guy named Osbourne who NU recruited and was a big get for LU but he left along with Osbourne to go to IUPUI . Osborne had a good year last year but is not on the roster this year, do not know what happened. Seemed shady at the time that they left with Gardner. But this team is not afraid to play a tough schedule and Gardner is a good coach despite his antics last year where he jumped up on a table after a win. Oleary is a lot like Skelly, does a lot of little things and Combs reminds me a little of Juice.
So I think you are correct when you say the Cats will have to play well.

Hopefully we learned our lesson against CSU.

Can't take anyone lightly: Gardner Webb beat Nebraska today, who beat Dayton.

His surgery was on his hand, not just the finger.

And Michigan State just lost to Northeastern. Winning Tuesday would be huge. After the close calls we've had, I'd say it's close to a tossup.

Northeastern had some good players. MSU are a shell of their former self due to injuries. NU catches a break playing them before the students are back from break. Bridges wil probably be back from his ankle injury, but I could definitely see NU winning that game.

Few more weeks, he'll be back.

We've got tougher opponents in the conference and the team needs this experience of pressure-filled games to prepare. GO CATS!
