I traded texts with a couple of Northwestern's prime 2016 targets last night and unearthed some new information.
Kolwich will return to Northwestern: Cameron Kolwich will be making another trip to Northwestern on June 2, one of several schools he will visit before making decision in the coming weeks.
The unranked offensive lineman from Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s will hit the road after he takes his finals and wraps up the school year. In addition to Northwestern, Kolwich plans to visit Missouri, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Illinois, Purdue and Wisconsin.
All of those schools with the exception of Wisconsin have offered the 6-foot-4, 275-pounder.
Michigan has made Kolwich a “conditional” offer which is dependent on his performance at a Wolverines camp. He is not sure he will be attending a June camp in Ann Arbor, however.
“I may have made a decision by then,” he said.
More interest for Glackin: While Internet reports that Jango Glackin was now a heavy Northwestern lean appear to have been false, the three-star linebacker is still very interested in the Wildcats. But there are a couple new players in his recruitment.
“No news with Northwestern, have been hearing that some new schools have interest in me though,” he stated via text. “I will say that I'm excited about Northwestern and could see myself there."
Glackin said that Wisconsin, the school that had been downgraded by another recruiting site, is still very much in the hunt.
In addition, Glackin has been getting interest from a couple of other major programs. Oregon came out to Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy to evaluate him, and Notre Dame has begun contacting him.
He is planning on making a decision in late June.
