This isn't accurate. We were happy, excited, etc., but "this forum was gushing" is not what happened.

There was one gusher who said he'd be a starter his freshman year and there was pretty heavy push back on that before the young man graduated high school. That one gusher is a good sport and is right on things basketball more than he's wrong.

I was excited about him. What I saw in limited play/exhibitions and practice video still makes me wonder at happened. I remember the video of Sanjay making a throw down jam that I never thought Sanjay could do, but almost as impressive was Vassar coming from the opposite side and skying up to contest it. At least it was as impressive you could be in getting posterized.
