One of my all time favorite Wildcats, Pete Shaw, turned 61 Tuesday. Probably the hardest hitting Cat ever, Pete played Safety professionally for the Chargers.

I regard Pete as a youngster who played at NU long after I graduated. This year on October 16-17 I will be attending my 50th NU reunion. The 'Cats will help me celebrate by smashing Iowa. One of my all time favorite Wildcats, Pete Shaw, turned 61 Tuesday. I saw Adamle play and he is going to be 66. Still see him on the news. Looks good but hair colored.
Oh Sure! what are all you guys doing in Eagle River when I'm in St Louis?I saw and chatted with Jack Rudnay earlier this week at a restaurant in Eagle River, Wisconsin. (A group of NU people had serendipitously converged there) He seemed to be in great shape and talked fondly of his days in Evanston. Also saw Jim Bragiel, a Cat hoopster from the mid '50's. Incredible how we all came separately and ended up having an impromptu purple party.
(For you youngsters out there, Jack Rudnay was an all B1G center, graduating in '69, who went on to have a long stint in the NFL with the Chiefs)
The idea that Hudhaifa Ismaeli is 40 makes me feel old. (Fitz too, but I've watched that happen.)One of my all time favorite Wildcats, Pete Shaw, turned 61 Tuesday. Probably the hardest hitting Cat ever, Pete played Safety professionally for the Chargers.
The fact that I was in the same class as some of the Rose Bowl team
