Eric Jokisch pitched tonight for the Cubs' AA franchise, Tennessee Smokies. Didn't do much special except pitch a 9-inning complete game in which he gave up no runs and, matter of fact, no hits. As the game didn't use a DH, Eric also took his turns at bat and got a couple of hits as well. Link to the box score is below.

Also apropos of Cats diamond alumni -- the past weekend my frau and I saw Jake Goebbert's last game with Midland (Oakland's AA team). After Friday night he was called up to the AAA team in Sacramento and has done well there from the start.
