What was with that Demps-Lindsay bru-ha-ha?

The announcers made a thing of it. The best thing was when they showed Olah showing some leadership and calming things down. But why was Demps screaming publicly like that? Improper temporary positioning 30 feet from the basket? What WAS that? I'm totally curious. I see that all the time where players are a little discombobulated early in a set - and they just space out, without all the histrionics. What was the big deal there?

A passionate veteran that wants the best for NU basketball and a 1st year player being introduced to post season basketball. I'd be more worried if guys weren't yelling at eachother.

Michael Jordan had a reputation for punching teammates for performing badly in scrimmages. Kobe has the same rep. Demps didn't want to lose and was frustrated. I threw a foam brick at the TV and would've been yelling if I was there

I also doubt that there is any real concern. Probably just competitive guys who hate losing. From all reports, this team has developed strong chemistry through its ups and downs this season.

That said, having watched almost every game this season, it does seem that Lindsey might have a bit of short fuse. He's been in the middle of more than a couple brush ups with opponents. It's understandable as he's young and passionate, but he will have to watch his temper as he grows bigger and stronger.

Scotty was suppose to drop down towards the baseline to be an outlet for that play, however he wanted to stay up top next to Demps. He told Scotty to rotate down to the corner. And then coming back after the score Demps got on his case to let him know he was passionate about still trying to win.

Being that Indy limited Demps to only 5 attempts and had to work hard for each one, he was adamant that his teammates need to come thru to pick up the slack. They followed Demps around all game regardless of the play.

Funny you should say that because I feel like Law has a bit of a short fuse- and I'm not saying that in a negative way. He's a competitor, and he does not back down from anyone. He plays with an attitude that NU basketball has not had in the past. Sanjay kind of has it too, but I really haven't noticed it as much from Lindsey, but maybe I've just missed it.

I enjoyed this team. Expectations were low, and they didn't exceed them, but they are young and determined. They want to win badly, and it shows on and off the court.

I don't see the short fuse in Law at all, but I definitely see it in Lindsey. Out of anyone on the team, he's the one I'd least want to mess with. Against Illinois he was staring down Rice and I about pissed myself, and Rice is not small. This is a good thing

Law has definitely had his moments this year where the ref has had to intervene between him and an opponent. And on at least two occasions, he has found himself in held ball situations where the whistle has blown, but he just refuses to let go of the ball until the opponent does. Love it- cracks me up.

I like how this conversation has turned into "Who on NU has a short fuse?". Ha.
