“That’s on us coaches”
“Good clean American fun”
“Our Young men”
“Stats are for losers”
“We’re 1-0/0-0”
“We just needed to execute better”
“Trust Yourself”
“If you screw up on the field I’ll order your teammates to haze you”

What’d I miss?

They ran an exotic offense? The program has never been stronger?

What we may lose after Fitz? Not much. I remember Urban Meyer talking up the culture at NU before the B1G title game in 2020. It turns out that the whole culture thing probably was more Hankwitz than Fitz. I have said this numerous times on this site over the past year. I have never seen such a complete collapse of a program in such a short time. What changed? Both coordinators from the awesome 2015-18 run were gone after 2020. I could have seen a bit of a downturn happen, but a complete collapse? I think we really put Fitz up on a high mantle that he really did not deserve. The future of the program is up in the air. It can go either way. It all depends if the university wants to keep building the program.

Pointing thumbs instead of fingers?

We’ve lost Fitz but we now can allow Dr Gragg to remake the football team in his vision.
I could just imagine the people in line to work for Gragg, tremendous pool of candidates. Too funny......thank you for the humor. He makes Mike Thomas (old IL AD) look like a genius.

I'm hoping one thing that will be lost is the lack of a spring game and lack of occasional open practices.
