I think the bigger issue than the non-contact was losing Mark and Christian Jones so close to the beginning of the season. The offensive game plan was going to revolve around our two best playmakers at the skill position. To lose both of them in a matter of days put the beginning of the season at risk. The answer at RB was JJ, but as a true freshman, he just needed time to get used to things. Treyvon Green was a nice #2 back wasn't going to replace Mark's production. We never found the answer at WR and Fitz talked a lot about the immaturity at that position. Hopefully, that group will grow up and we'll get Jones back this year.thanks- hopefully we get through camp without injury- but doing more contact than occurred during camp last year- we were unprepared at seasons start and injury decimated at seasons end. Hopefully this year starts and ends better (and the middle does well too)
Shakes everything you said there was reasonable and if it holds as true we could be much better this year if a QB can just step up and be reasonably productive.I think the bigger issue than the non-contact was losing Mark and Christian Jones so close to the beginning of the season.
