At the risk of talking about the tallest midget, I'm cautiously optimistic that transfer Cam Johnson can step in and be The Man at the wide receiver position. There are still many "if's" for this group to perform well, such as if we can get injury-free seasons by Bryce Kirtz and Reggie Fleurima. A healthy starting trio of Cam Johnson, Kirtz, and Fleurima would be serviceable, with upside contributions from Calvin Johnson, Gill, Niro, Covey (yes!) and others being desperately needed. This group will never be an upper echelon B1G unit sans an unexpected star transfer but we just need them to be serviceable. A big season from Cam Johnson is much needed.
