WLAX wins road opener

WLAX opened with a 16-4 victory over UMass in Los Angeles yesterday. Kelly Rich scored 4 goals.

They continue with a match against USC in USC's inaugural D1 game played at the Coliseum today at 5 pm central. I believe game is streamed from the USC site.

This promises to be very, very, very ugly for USC. Nothing like playing your first D1 game ever against arguably the greatest team in the history of the sport.

I think folks were anticipating a closer game than that. But we'll take it!

The UNC vs. Florida was a bit more exciting... I mean, close. It was a low scoring affair (5-3 Florida). Florida is going to be a tough match for Northwestern... Florida has a tough defense. Lots of cards during this game suggest both UNC and Florida aren't afraid to play Northwestern's style of aggressive defense.
