The women’s team opened with a loss to Illinois State. Could be another long season.

It was a fun game to watch. Caileagh Walsh is out injured, and Melanie Daley played limited minutes. We're a transfer dominated team. Illinois State has won 20 games each of the last two years, 3 years postseason in a row. So not a slouch opponent. I'm hoping we're better than last year, but we'll see.

The transfer #2 is really good. Once Melanie is back 100% things will look better.

Is Walsh expected back and, if so, when?

When I look at the roster, Coach Joe has had more than his share of failed recruits. No idea why but this ship has been sinking for some time. The transfers this year were better and necessary to field a team
