Tough call without Scottie yet again, facing our first real adversity, up in Madison. Worried we will get blown out of building old time like Carmody's teams did (except for one miracle win). Can probably bounce back eventually, but tomorrow is an uphill struggle. .

Don't be so sure about scottie being out regardless of what CC said

The miracle win was actually in Collins' first season. Before that we hadn't won in Madison since 1997.

I'm not optimistic about tomorrow, especially if Lindsey doesn't play, but NU is good enough that a win wouldn't be a shock-the-world outcome.

Woold be impressed with Wisky if they did that, coming of a double OT win vs. Neb by and the related long trip back to Madison.

Woops, false news.

It's somewhat likely after what we saw with Purdue. Will hope he's back from the next one.

Agreed, that if Wisky plays like Purdue, we will be boatraced. But they have been nowhere near that level in the last few games. That Nebby first half was the worst first half I've seen this year, and keep in mind I am a regular lolIllinois viewer.

I was playing coy earlier. Was told yesterday the swelling is way down and Scottie had a good chance to be back tomorrow, but now it's looking like Maryland. Sucks

Rather have him rest, as Maryland just seems like a better matchup for us than Wisky...

I'd argue Collins' first team, which won in Madison, had less talent than this one even without Lindsey.

We were a 17 pt underdog on 1/29/14 ... today we are a 10 pt underdog, so yes, at least according to Vegas.

Thanks FloridAlum. You're always my top source for modern slang.

(Aside: Mike tried, but I can't imagine ever using the term 'boatraced' and not sounding like a doofus. However, coming up with a new term for getting blown out as an NU fan (or, if you prefer, an American who watches tons of sports on tv) is kind of like the whole '32 words for snow' thing with eskimos.)
(I know it's not 'new' per se, but it's new to me.)

Also, I think NU gets boatraced today. Geez, I hope I'm wrong.
