Isn't our women's basketball team a top 25 team? Yet this board is dominated with posts about a golfer who spent only a quarter at NU.

Ohio State and Maryland will be tough to top in the Big Ten. Our team should make the tournament, but the non-conference loss to DePaul may indicate that we're still a few pieces away from winning the conference and becoming a perennial tournament team. For one thing, we're getting outrebounded by our opponents.

I agree that more attention is deserved toward Cats' women's hoops. I enjoyed watching them play all tourney games recently in the Austin area.

In general there's just not enough fan attention to the so-called minor sports by participants here. I wish there were more.

That said -- if you're unaware, there is fairly frequent attention paid to Coach Joe's squad on the Rivals Basketball board. So if you don't visit there with some frequency, you should.

I saw the Lady Cat's vs. UNC. Fun team. If the wins keep coming, the interest will rise. Like men's BBall - team seems to be building momentum but has a way to go.
