Maybe Sullivan will eventually have a nice season or seasons, but the guy who can't crack the starting job for Iowa is not short term panacea for anybody.

Thank you. If Sullivan was anything decent he would start over the “king of mid” McNamera. He’s not good.

That’s not really how it works. Braun doesn’t tell him to push the ball up the field unless it’s obvious that’s what they need to do eg. end of game situation.

More likely Lujan asked Braun if he wants him to run the clock out and Braun told him throw it if he wants to.

That doesn’t make it any less Braun’s fault as he should’ve told Lujan to run the clock out. But, the head coach doesn’t demand he push it down the field in that scenario because he hasn’t studied the opposing defense on film all week and doesn’t know near as much as the OC in that situation in regards to looks they’re seeing, plays they have that they like in that scenario etc.

There’s a reason the HC hires coordinators they feel they can trust.

I think most people think Barnhizer will lead the team in scoring this year, but of course he's not at 100% yet, and we don't know how good he'll be when he's the focal point of opposing defenses. Who's going to be #2 this year?

Hilarious. In the last week we have had posters on here claim McCall, Jake, Cushing, were Coaching giants. Why is it so surprising that “St. Patrick” gets backing when these under performers do? EVERY game we lose the old coaches seem brighter.

Every game we lose our transfers become HOF players. Sully, TeRah, Fort Knox, Priebe to name a few that would change the fortunes of this squad.

If you can’t at least admit that recent Fitz classes OVERALL were better than we have seen so far from Braun then the discussion starts with a clear bias. Again, I don’t blame Braun on this fact yet, as he started in a very difficult place, but let’s not kid ourselves because we dislike St. Patrick.

Question about Lausch’s passes to those who know more than I

In fairness to Lausch, he doesn't have a ton of experience behind center and so maybe this isn't surprising. I just wish there was some evidence that he was improving in this area.

I agree I think this is the key to a good quarterback to be able to read the field process what's going on anticipate where the receiver will be. That takes a certain type of mind that I'm sure you can train to some extent but I think it's somewhat innate.
