Live Zoom Discussion During Game: EIU @ NU Friday Sept 14 6:30 PM CT

If you are a Northwestern fan and watching the game on TV (or streaming it), you are welcome to join us for a live Zoom discussion during the game. It's a great way to share the experience with others as you watch.

One thing you should be aware of is that TV and streaming are not always in sync with real time. It is not unusual for some viewers to be 30 seconds ahead of others, which leads to an interesting dynamic during the game watch. You can often tell by the reactions of others if something good or bad is about to happen. To me, it just makes it more interesting.

I hope that you can join the fun via Zoom on Saturday @ 6:30 PM CT.

Northwestern 'high up there' for 2026 WR Jude Hall after offer

Northwestern offered 2026 wide receiver Jude Hall from Greenville (S.C.) Christ Church, the alma mater of running back Dashun Reeder. I talked to Hall about his offer from Northwestern and more.

FB RECRUITING Recruit Roundup: O'Brien throws four TDs, Preckel scores three

Check out how Northwestern's next generation played last week in high school football with the Recruit Roundup.

The Four Fs, maybe five, that drive new Northwestern AD Mark Jackson

@lou v was at Northwestern today for the press conference announcing the hire of new athletic director Mark Jackson. Check out his column on what Jackson had to say and his vision for the future of Northwestern Athletics.

Most crushing loss since MSU 2020

I am still irate at the fumble overturn, the lack of running by Mike Wright when he had big run lanes, the insanely bad play calling by Lujan, Jack Olson being so god damn inconsistent despite acting like he’s elite… this feels like a loss that will certainly keep us out of a bowl. Likely 5-7. Absolutely brutal. I might need to go to one of those “wreck rooms” to break some stuff.

FOOTBALL Braun's quarterback change is all about 'valuing the football'

David Braun's weekly press conference was all about his decision to start redshirt sophomore Jack Lausch at quarterback, just 2.5 days after giving Wright a vote of confidence. We broke down Braun's quotes and analyzed what he thinks Lausch can bring to the table to turn the offense around.

Pass Defense

Why did out pass defense get so much worse late in the game and OT? It looked to me that the safeties were playing deeper and much softer with the LBs dropping into a soft zone. That WR shredded us.

Can someone more knowledgeable about football explain what happened?
