Thompson moves back to guard in new-look offensive line

I talked to OL Josh Thompson after practice on Tuesday about his new position, his impression of new offensive line coach Bill O'Boyle, and his outlook on the new season that's right around the corner.

Kickoff is 10 days away. When will the Wildcat Ticket Office release our tickets electronically? What are they waiting for to do? The Cubs have allowed me to access my Wrigley tickets. U Washington has allowed me to access my Cats v Dawgs tickets. U Washington ticket office has already emailed me twice soliciting me to enjoy more U W athletic experiences. As I once alluded to, I went to an OSU hockey game and still get updates from their ticket office. Our ticket office acts less than bush league in my opinion. Sorry for the rant. Go Cats and Embrace The Suck.

OT: I’m not the only one who watched a ton of Olympics, right?

Great gold medal hoops games.
Simone was remarkable and Ledecky remained unchallenged and the bespectacled pommel horse guy was awesome.

Track is great every night, with great Americans but also great Dutch and Botswanans and everyone else.

And Breaking was Breaking, and we’ll all miss it.

We can only hope Flea remains the avatar for LA for the next four years. Snoop was great. Dre was better. We can only hope they remember Los Lobos and perhaps even a little Bakersfield country in ‘28.

The HOLLYWOOD sign with bonus rings is a little cheesy, but LA is missing a focal point like the Eiffel Tower.

Best Olympics of my lifetime.

WLP Big Ten Summer Previews - Wisconsin

So...when does the Wisconsin we've become accustomed to for most of the 13 years of this pod show back up again, exactly?

The Badgers went 7-6 last year and didn't look good doing it.

Now they lose their QB, their star RB, and their best linebackers from a team that didn't look in-sync offensively until late in the year and NEVER looked in-sync defensively.

And this schedule...not great, Bob!

Can a classic Badgers O-Line drag this team above 6 wins, or are suddenly looking a trouble in the Fickell era?

Harbaugh: One season suspension // Four-Year Show Cause

Just venting here, but it's so f'ing frustrating to me that the NCAA imposes symbolic penalties like this that in no way serve as a deterrent for the behavior.

My takeaway from this incident is that Northwestern (any any program that wants to win) should balance ends with means. Lie, cheat, steal - since the death penalty is out the window...do whatever it takes.

I sincerely believe the best deterrent for rulebreaking in the NCAA is to make the school itself 100% culpable for anything the agents (coaches) it chooses to hire to run and rep the program perpetrate. Everyone involved here knew that there would be no serious repercussions - Harbaugh and all the coaches still got (and get to keep) their bonuses, Michigan raises a fortune from boosters celebrating the national championship, and no penalties inhibit their ability to compete in the long or short-term. It was absolutely worth it.
