With Coach Kelly moving to LSU, much has been made of his ability to recruit more easily at LSU than ND due to 'less stringent' academic requirements for admission. However, Coach Kelly has seem to be able to assemble 'top ten' recruiting classes at ND, despite this impediment. Are the academic standards really that much more stringent at ND than LSU for football recruits. Are the academic standards at NU for recruited athletes more stringent than those at ND? Is there an objective reported 'metric' that truly shows how much more or less stringent athletic admissions are based on academics at one school versus another? Are we really working with a completely different group of recruits than the other schools with in the B1G? I
