On a more serious note, the NU Chapter of Uplift Athletes are holding a fund-raiser this week. You can make a pledge to donate the amount of your choice for each NU TD scored against Purdue. Proceeds go to support the Chapter and their effort to raise awareness and funding for the rare disease ALS. My farther died from ALS in 2004, and it is a cruel, fatal disease. Watching someone you love slowly waste away is just just terrible, and there is nothing anyone can do right now. Anything these young people can do to advance towards a cure is much appreciated.
