The TT loss was distasteful on so many levels! How long did it take you to forget the loss? If you love, love the wins, then you have to hate, hate the losses. For me, this afternoon I came to grips that we were just burnt out from too many games ( 5 in ten days or so)

No choice but to forget about it quickly; the Nexium wasn't getting it done. o_O

Unless we get 11-12 wins in The B1G , the TT loss will sink NU

Far from over the TT loss... in fact, it is hard to even come here to read or post right now as the wounds are still so raw. I'm extremely concerned about the 2017 Cats...
This team is better than the 2016 team. Collins just needs to make sure his starters get their rest.

TT was up 50-22 at half on Wofford. I know, Wofford, but still, just saying.

Probably NEVER.

I convinced three of my buds who are not NU fans to go with me to the tourney. I played up our top 25 rank, returning starters, etc in anticipation of Sunday's championship game.

NU was totally overmatched in every aspect of the game. They looked like a HS team playing the Celtics.

In particular BMac was completely ineffective on both ends of the court. Dererk continued his subpar play this year and turned it over several times again to start the game - despite Collins claiming he might have improved most in off season. Vic played solid D as always but still struggles to create shots when not wide open. I give Scotty credit as he played very well but could not carry the rest of the team on his shoulders.

The place was practically empty and we mercifully left with about 6 minutes to go and down by about 40 since my friends had long drives home on a Sunday evening.

Looking forward to a fun thanksgiving weekend watching college football. Visiting my daughter in Austin and going to game fri night hoping UT kicks TTUs butt! Then watching NU thump Illanoy on Saturday will help in the healing process.

How is that for honest?

How about the great top 5 team Purdue losing to a mid level SEC Tennessee team. PU got beat up on the boards. How could that happen with the 7’2” behemoth Isaac Haas? How? Because he has slow feet and is not athletic enough to sniff the first round and will only see the NBA if he buys a ticket. The most talented team in college basketball, Arizona loses to a mid-level ACC team. November results in college basketball are erratic. NU has an awful game for coaches and players last Sunday. Get over it. As for the clown’s posts, just laugh at it. He probably is.

I'm writing off the TTU game as a one-off of a tired team that just didn't have it that evening. The CU loss was a "good loss", the Cats were competitive just just came up short to a Tournament team. The real test comes over the next 8 days: should be an easy win tomorrow, Cats need to beat a depleted GaTech team Tuesday, and a mikewebb guaranteed victory at "home" a week from tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how this 8 day period unfolds.

Having read a large number of your posts now, you overreact a heck of a lot.

Remember the last time I was confident about a victory? I believe you may vaguely recall...

I don't guarantee anything, but I think we will know a lot more about ourselves if we lose to Illinois, which is NOT a good team, than we learn from playing our 5th noncon game in 10 days in November vs.a very good team.

We will be solid favorites and thus should win--if we lose, we're in real trouble, and it will be more about our team than any competency of a team that lost 70% of their scoring from a squad that got their coach fired. Plus it is a winnable conference game, which means we have to win one we shouldn't if we lose. Far more important than a game at a casino.

Imo, we are NOT in real trouble right now, as the chicken little posters on this board indicated after our loss to TT, because that game did not tell us much that we did not already know (particularly that our defense would be worse than last years without Sanjay, which was an absolute given, we will struggle when we can shoot due to the defensive decline, we wlll struggle offensively when our bigs don't contribute at all, and that we will also struggle if we get in foul trouble since we are not deep).

What I am struggling with is 1) our poor defense so far and 2) our lack of bench contributions. We have to fix both of them quickly. I don’t know if Brown is hurt, but he has to be way more aggressive. We’ll have to live with some out of control shots, but the man can’t be afraid to make a mistake. CCC is going to need a longer leash. We fix those two things we are top 5 in conference, we don’t we are 6-10. Benson looks better, but he has to finish by the rim. Gaines needs to give us 6-8 points a game. Everyone boasted about this being our deepest team, time to start showing it tomorrow.

Nasty experience! Just plain nasty! Got to get the starters ample rest!
