Someone might want to double-check this, but I believe Northwestern's record in conference from 1995 to now is 98-98. We're .500 against MSU, Wisconsin, and Nebraska, under .500 against Ohio St, Michigan, and Penn State, and over .500 against everyone else.

As you know, our next 3 opponents are the aforementioned MSU, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. Having a winning record against 10 of 13 teams in that span would be a nice accomplishment. Let's hope we get it done. It'll be a tall order, but not impossible.

That's pretty amazing given that we were 44-165-2 in the previous 25 seasons and that is with two 6-win Big Ten campaigns in 1970 and 71. This is one reason that those of us who survived the Dark Ages with our fandom in tact might be a little more realistic about expectations.

The Westerkamp game deserves an asterisk.
I wish someone had kicked him in the asterisk

My colleague is a grumpy Wisc fan. I was talking to him today and said Bucky better not let up this weekend (Mich). He said they have to take care of business the next TWO weeks. I couldn't remember who they played in two weeks and he said "YOU a$$holes!"

We are also 26-9 in the past 4 seasons in the big ten.
