I don't get Hank's all-or-nothing approach to blitzing. For the first two games, nothing, even though it was obvious that the defensive line was not creating any pressure. Yesterday from the start he's sending the house or rushing LB's and dropping DL's into coverage. It's appeared that NU didn't want to show all its cards in the early games although I cannot figure out what difference it made.
Will one of the Board experts give me an assessment of the linebacker play and scheme? Looks to me that they were constantly either blocked or out of position, particularly in the first half. Chuck Long said that when the NU defense went to a zone scheme things settled down.
