Osweiler probably won't even play a snap in Denver so it doesn't really matter, but the guy who looks the smartest? John Elway. After the 15-16 season, he pretty much let Osweiler walk after "only" offering a 3 year/$45 million contract knowing another team would easily beat that. Now just 18 months later he gets him back in Denver for under a million and his starter is still playing on his 7th rounder rookie deal.

He also got rid of Fox after a Super Bowl, and the Bears were right there to swoop in and nab him. Sometimes, Bears, you need to pause and consider why he's on the market. Jeez.

BO might get released once PL is healthy enough to play, but wouldn't entirely dismiss the Broncos hanging onto BO for the entire season as PL doesn't exactly give much comfort in being the back-up (neither does BO, but he has more of a track history of success - at least w/ the Broncos).
