Couldn’t watch the game but monitored online. Without seeing it, I was impressed they came back after being down a bunch early and brought it to a buzzer beater situation without Mart scoring tonight.

MN made free throws. Berry and Hunger seemed to contribute by trying to play hard D leading to their early departure.

I’m very curious to hear about the details but I’m not disheartened by this neutral floor loss by a bucket.

Couldn't hit shots when the needed; couldn't get stops when they needed. Close, but no cigar!

Heard one of the big reasons McCaffrey is at Butler rather than IA was that when he was 16 he was driving and hit someone that did not survive so he wanted to get out of Iowa City and get a fresh start

Thats his younger brother. But it sounds like a really sad situation. All witness testimony said that he couldn't have done anything differently and the runner came out of nowhere, but its highly traumatic I'm sure.

Which his daddy got him off on no charges. If you hit and kill someone you’re going to prison - case closed.

Holy shit this is maybe the most ignorant post in this sites history. First of all your claim that “if you hit and kill someone you're going to prison” is not even close to accurate. I'd imagine its objectively more false than true. Granted these are Ohio attorneys, but its a pretty clear explanation of how such event can occur and have no criminal consequences for the driver.

Second, there were criminal charges.

Third-YOU ARE NOT EVEN ACCUSING THE CORRECT PERSON.

Its a real dog shit thing to do to callously throw around allegations like these while having not the slightest clue what you're talking about.

I was told this by an IA fan however in looking it up II find it is Jack that was involved in the car accident. That said, it is a smaller town and there could be a lot of issues in staying in IA City as a member of the family. In his exit he had dealt with a lot of anxiety over the years and being the coaches son made it all worse. Have to imagine that with the fatal accident that his brother was involved in in 2023 it made it all even worse Plus Conner McCaffrey, his brother, is on the coaching staff of Butler.
