IU must be playing a good team again, because they look bad so far. Their QB looks totally rattled. It’s early, but they need to settle down quickly.

While shiny gold is a bit of a ND trademark, tonight’s unis look rather chintzy to me.

Separately, does Heard get much PT? And what of our other DB who got the great pick in the BT Championship game back in 2020. What ever became of him?

Those who said IU didn't belong in the CFP appear to have been right. IU lucky to only be down 2 TDs at the half.

Rod Heard II has been playing Safety as a back-up tonight. No impact plays as yet.

Yeah, Indiana’s turnaround season has been impressive, but they’re a very good, not great team. They’ve been totally shut down by the 2 top 10 teams they’ve played. They had a fairly weak SOS but many many IU teams in the last several decades have had weak SOS and were unable to beat 11 teams, many of them by multiple TDs.

Indiana's tackling has been atrocious but ND has had a say in that as well. The announcer said Rourke has been off and I agree with that. ND has several physical beasts sprinkled throughout their team, particularly on the DL, that Indiana just cannot match.

Watching Leonard continually break the rush with his legs I wonder why Lausch wasn't more active.

I didn’t watch much IU this year but this game was just awful, nothing like the aggressive offense I thought they had. Running on 2nd and long when time was a factor, not going for it on 4th down when they needed 3 scores in 10 minutes, seemingly no adjustment to try to get some quick passes or roll Rourke our to avoid pressure. Just a really bad gameplan on offense and horrendous tackling on defense that just kept extending drives allowing first down after first down.

I am quite happy smug Cig got knocked down a peg. I am even happier they missed the two pint conversion.
I turned it off after the last ND TD. Quite a furious rally by IU - to your point, if they’d made that 2 point conversion, incredibly it would’ve been a one possession game with enough time for an onside kick and a couple pass play to set up a Hail Mary.
