Let me guess... One of them beat us on our own field in last year's bowl eligibility play-in game?
And I know how much you wanted me to be on this list, but at a 1, I seem to be pretty safe. Personally I'd have given myself a 2.5. The real question is what rating I'd have given my assistants. You'll have to ask The Good Dr. Jim if you want the answer to that one.
Perhaps the Illini fans "Expect Victory" and don't put up with mediocrity.....

An Illini fanatic is the quintessential straw man; to mock the program is like kicking two-day old roadkill. No sport to it. I'm not even sure there are a whole lot of bandwagon jumpers out there any more - not a whole lot of excitement, spirit, whatever possesses us to follow college football is called: their bowl game last year? Non-existent. Infomercials featuring new saran wrap beat out that televised contest. The fans are like those 1970 era polyester suits, the kind with the exaggerated collars. They evoke pity as long as they keep their mouth shut. What if the Illini ran the table and won the championship this year? Would anyone really care? I suspect that scenario would conjure serious and meaningful reflection as to what's wrong with the game. I went to a game there a few years back. The experience still haunts me to this day, starting with. Innocent kids from the area, default fans by circumstance, experiencing the humiliation of their home town team live.
