I wasn't trying to indicate both were in the same class. Just that both were relatively early in Collns time here and in his first couple recruiting classes. He is still learning to put together an overall plan that focuses on how parts fit together. Most new HC's get their first HC gigs at lower levels so that when they get their first P5/6 gigs they have already dealt with this type issue. They only get to the power conferences after they have learned from mistakes at lower levels and If they are successful, they get opportunities at the next level. But CCC started at the the top and has to learn at this level, I think CCC will get there but he will still have some ups and downs as he learns what he needs to build a program.Minor note....Vassar was in his first recruiting class, with Scottie, Vic and Bryant. Ash was in Class #2. Class #1 was pretty successful in terms of production on the court, the best of his 4 to date. Hopefully Class #5 will top it.
One could argue that while he has recruited a couple guys that have not worked out. he has also been successful at getting guys that might not be contributors to move out of the program fairly quickly. Is it a more palatable version of Creaning? First Vassar and now Brown and RAP. Got to feel for the guys, esp RAP who had to deal with those injuries
