And also the QB draw on 3rd and 15 on our prior drive. Why even waste 40 seconds there? If you’re going to give them the ball then do a quick kick on third down to catch them off guard and pin them deep.

Well, you have to have someone capable of executing a quick kick. (I don't know if Hunter has that skill.)

But what's the harm in throwing a deep ball? Yeah, wasting that 40 seconds was painful.

I called the draw before it was run. The notion was to pick up half plus of the yardage and have a manageable 4th Down.

Well, apparently Stanford watched NU’s tape from last year (or many years) as well. In that type of situation (of a likely two down 3rd down situation), a draw is a strong NU tendency. It’s a good strategy if you don’t do it all the time.
