DePaul finally wins a Big East game

It took Georgetown being down two starters, but they finally won a regular season Big East game for the first time in 730 days.
Somewhere, Cedric Neloms is smiling.

DePaul has been playing well and happy for them to finally get a win. They are 0-3 in OT in the Big East (Providence, Seton Hall and Marquette) and had the lead in the final minute of regulation in all three, so they’ve been really close. They remind me of B Mac’s freshman year or those later Nance teams where figuring out how to close out games and win is so hard for a team and program not used to winning.

Wow, didn't realize the Cats once had lost 50 straight Big Ten road games. Good example of just how awful the history here was until Bill Carmody and Chris Collins changed the narrative. DePaul dominated Chicago (and Illinois) basketball in the 80s and into the 90s, but starting with Bill Bradshaw, the AD who fired Joe Meyer, and then Jean Ponsetto, it's been a bleak 21st century for them.
