Purdue fans still have him penciled into the starting five.Does this mean he didn’t win his appeal and he’s not coming back?

Great team to go to. Unfortunately, there’s no room on that roster, they literally have everybody from this year under contract next year so he’ll have to play in the G league and be patient.Didn't see him ending up at OKC but couldn't ask for a better landing spot.
Amazing!!#44
OKC
BROOKS BARNHIZER
Wrong. They have them as the 7th man.Purdue fans still have him penciled into the starting five.
Jeremy Woo, per his espn write up, isn't very impressed with Brooks and now Jeremy is on my wife's poop list.
I was wondering about this, is it actually a bad landing spot because they're already so deep? Sounds like kinda, yeah.Great team to go to. He’ll probably go up against Boo Buie too.
Jeremy Woo ends up on the Darren Rovell List for Disappointing NU Alumni ...
That is how an article is supposed to be written. He only give Barny a B+ but praises him enthusiastically through out the article. It's just the kind of thing fans love to read.![]()
Grading OKC Thunder's No. 44 Pick Brooks Barnhizer
Draft day is always full of surprises, especially when you cover the Oklahoma City Thunder. Entering day two, the Thunder owned pick No. 44 in the second roundwww.si.com
Dude scores from every level. The pounding he took last year was remarkable.Barnhizer will be a high 30s percent 3 pt shooter in the NBA. His 3 pt shooting is the only knock on him in the draft.
He shot 40% from 3 in high school his senior year and 45% from 3 his jr year (max preps) (albeit a few feet shorter in hs). We needed his length and rebounding on offense so he played closer to the basket. We also had Ty Berry as a sharp shooter and Langborg for a year as a sharp shooter so there was less need for him to take 3s.
The guy will take at least 10,000 3s this summer practicing. He has a fluid stroke and phenomenal work ethic.
Vic Law brought his 3 pt shooting up to 40% in the G League for the Magic taking almost 6 per game and making almost 2.5.
It happens because that is what they are focusing on.
Brooks was a PG in high school. He played what we needed him to play, the 3 position.
He will grow into what the NBA needs him to play. He will improve and be an effective 3 pt shooter, 3 and D player.
There is a need for that kind of player.
I watched the reporter's live stream after OKC picked him. They looked at his stats from his senior year without knowing that he was injured at the beginning of the year and missed several games. He was probably hurt the whole year. Sr year stats meant nothing.
I think he will develop into a solid player.
Go Cats and congrats Brooks. You earned it.
It's the recurring injuries that I worry about but maybe if he doesn't feel like he has to carry the team and only plays 15 to 20 minutes his body will hold up better.Dude scores from every level. The pounding he took last year was remarkable.
Luck and situation matter a lot. Injuries are inevitable and he’ll be in a position to get minutes next season.
Great news regardless. Landing spot makes it even better.
